They don t rust so the coating won t flake off like it can on mild steel headers.

I also agree with the lower temps. Compared to a standard painted surface a ceramic coated header can run up to 50 cooler surface temperature. Ceramic coating takes the heat and retains the superior finish. Stainless headers mfg inc.

The ceramic actually blocks alot of the heat if they are coated inside and out. Stainless will radiate more heat into the engine compartment than ceramic coated headers will.
